Children of the World. From Heart to Heart
The story of the project began in 2014, when photographer and traveler Stanislav Beloglazov, preparing for another journey, suggested an unusual idea to his daughter: to give her toy to a child from a distant country — as a symbol of friendship among children of the whole planet.
The first happy recipient of a gift from Russia lived in a small village in Zambia. Ten years have passed since then, and during this time nearly two hundred toys have traveled around the world, touching the lives of children in more than one hundred countries.
Adults who heard about the initiative often offered boxes of toys left behind by their grown children. But Stanislav always replied that such gifts should remain in Russia and be given to those truly in need. Only the most special toys went on his journeys — the ones children chose and gave themselves, with a sincere wish to send a little “ray of kindness” into the distant world.
Each gifted toy became more than just an object. It turned into a bridge between two children — the one who gave and the one who received. Along with the toy, children seemed to share their stories: one might live in a noisy concrete high-rise, while another in a hut on thin stilts; one might spend winters making snowballs, while another sees crocodiles all year round; some are used to trams and trolleybuses outside their windows, while others to elephants and Victoria Falls. Yet despite all these differences, children everywhere share something essential: Family, Friendship, and Peace.
“When I invited our kids to take part in the project, I asked them to share sincerely — not a new, beautiful toy bought by their parents as a gift, but their own beloved one. The toy that carries the warmth of the heart. Only such a gift can truly connect children, even if thousands of kilometers lie between them.”
The project is carried out with the support of the World Peoples Assembly.
